Dancing in the kitchen

Hello, thanks for visiting.

The real purpose of this part of the web site is for you to see if we’ll get on. It’s actually really important, I mean; I’m coming to your wedding.

This is me, in my happy place listening to live music with one of the driving forces in my life.
The photo was taken by one of the other driving forces.

So… how did I get here?

It started in the kitchen; specifically, dancing in the kitchen. I love dancing in the kitchen, it’s brilliant! Most of all I love it when everybody else is dancing too.

It tends to go like this - you put your heart into cooking some great food for people you care about, you have some nice wine, there’s a floor filler playing and everybody is singing and laughing, so you dance - what could be better than that?

Well, I’ll tell you - taking a really good photo of it. Then sharing that photo with those people over and over again; reminding them, reliving it, feeling all that happy again.

Sounds a bit like a wedding

I’ve been taking photographs of people for as long as I can remember and professionally now for 6 years. My working life has always been in creative industries; I started in advertising before moving into photography.

Outside of anything to do with work I love music, preferably live music and I’m absolutely loving sharing that with my children. My wife and I try to get to our favourite festivals throughout the year and it’s great having the children along to share it.

We also spend a lot of time working on our house, I’m not sure if this is because I’m slow or because there’s lots to do.

Actually, it could be both!

So in a nutshell; I have a house that needs too much attention, my children who absolutely command my attention and my Wife who reminds me when it’s time for me to pay attention.

All in all, I’m a very lucky man and wouldn’t have it any other way :)

And yes, we still dance in the kitchen…
